Tell your story

Write your own history

How has your queer life been lived? Here you can write down memories from your life that can cast light on history or inspire, bring joy or be interesting to others. You can write as short or as long as you wish (up to 20 000 characters). To protect personal integrity, QRAB will anonymize the texts before they are published on the website, but when you write you can be as anonymous or open as you’re comfortable with. You can write in any language you prefer, but texts written in other languages than Swedish or English may take longer before they are published.

To each story you’ll write a headline and choose one or several fitting themes - you can write one rich text and choose several themes, or make many posts focusing on specific themes. If you have suggestions for more themes you can add them. To give the readers and the future some context for the stories, you’re welcome to fill in the information on time, place etc. but that is not a requirement.

It might take some time before the text is published, since it has to be read through and possibly anonymized. All contributions will be preserved in QRAB’s digital archive, but we reserve the right not to publish certain texts. If you have any questions on how the texts are handled, please send an email to var.historia@qrab.org.
